To set the height of the liftgate, adjust it to your preferred height. Then, press and hold the add-on button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a beep. Please ensure the buzzer is connected for this feature to work.
To adjust the speed of the liftgate, press and hold the add-on button while the liftgate is open. Continue holding the button after the first beep. You will hear three for speed 3, four for speed 4, and so on, up to six long beeps for speed 6. Release the button once you hear the number of beeps corresponding to your desired speed. The slowest speed is 3, and the fastest is 6. The factory default setting is speed 4.
If the trunk lacks the force to open (possibly due to a heavy spoiler or recent body repair), you can adjust the opening force. To do this, hold the black button on the back of the control unit. One beep indicates force 1, two beeps indicate force 2, and so on. Release the button when you hear the number of beeps corresponding to your desired force. The default force setting is 1.
Normally, there's no need to adjust the closing force. However, if the trunk cannot close completely, you may need to increase the closing force. To do this, use a flathead screwdriver to push up the lock in the latch, simulating a closed trunk. Then, hold the black button on the back of the control unit. One beep indicates force 1, two beeps indicate force 2, and so on. Release the button when you hear the number of beeps corresponding to your desired force. The default force setting is 1.
