Before using this product, we strongly recommend that all users carefully review the following safety guidelines:
Intended Use: This DC adapter is specifically designed for charging electric vehicles equipped with CHAdeMO sockets. It should not be used for any other purposes, vehicles, or objects. This product is intended for personal use by individual vehicle owners and is not suitable for commercial use, as doing so may void the warranty and affect after-sales service.
Product Condition: If the DC adapter shows any signs of defects, such as cracks, wear, ruptures, or other damage, or if it fails to operate correctly, do not use it. The adapter is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to open, disassemble, repair, modify, or alter the DC adapter. For any maintenance or repairs, please contact an authorized dealer.
During Charging: Do not disconnect the DC adapter while the vehicle is charging. Avoid using the DC adapter when you, the vehicle, the charger, or the adapter are exposed to severe weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snow, or thunderstorms.
Handling: Handle the DC adapter with care. Avoid subjecting it to strong forces or impacts. Do not pull, twist, knot, drag, or step on the adapter, as this can cause damage to both the device and yourself.
Protection: Keep the DC adapter away from moisture, water, and foreign objects. Do not use the adapter if it is damaged or corroded. Avoid contact with sharp metallic objects, such as wires, tools, or needles, near the ends of the adapter.
Manual Intervention: If manual intervention is needed to stop charging, we recommend using the operator's mobile app to initiate the charging stop process. During charging, if it begins to rain, ensure that rainwater does not flow along the cable into the adapter or the vehicle's charging port to prevent moisture damage.
Environmental Precautions: If the charging cable of the CHAdeMO DC charger is submerged in water or covered in snow, do not insert the DC adapter plug. If the adapter is already inserted in such conditions, stop the charging process first before unplugging the adapter.
Obstruction: Ensure that the charging cable and DC adapter do not obstruct pedestrians, vehicles, or objects during use.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Do not use cleaning agents to clean the DC adapter. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact an authorized dealer.
Charging Compatibility: Please be aware that some charging stations or brands may not accept conversion devices for charging. We recommend using stations or brands that do not have such restrictions.
Precautions Before Charging For most vehicles compliant with the CHAdeMO standard, such as the Nissan Leaf, eNV200, etc., it is essential to:
Turn off the dashboard.
Park the vehicle and turn off the ignition.
Ensure the gear is in the parking (P) position.
Insert the nozzle of the adapter into the CHAdeMO socket of the vehicle, making sure it is fully inserted. You should hear a light "click," confirming that the locking hook is in place.
Remove the CCS1 plug and insert it into the CCS1 socket of the adapter, ensuring it is securely locked by the hook.
Once the CCS1 plug is properly inserted, the green light below the unlock button on the adapter should illuminate and flash, indicating that the connection process has begun.
During this process, pay careful attention to the angle and distance of the charging cable to minimize stress on the nozzle, ensuring a stable and effective connection.
Scan the charging operator's application to start the charging process. Try to complete the entire process within 90 seconds.
If the start-up fails, unplug and re-plug the gun and repeat the connection process.
If charging fails, before attempting to reconnect, unplug and re-plug both the Type 2 and CHAdeMO plugs to perform the necessary signal updates and resets.
If multiple attempts to start charging fail, stop the process and check for any operational errors or other potential issues.
12V Power Input (For Adapter Power Supply)
The 12V power input port is used to connect the adapter to the car's cigarette lighter interface to supply power to the adapter during charging.
Operating Method:
As shown in Figure A, using the Nissan Leaf as an example, press the start button once. Note: Only press once; pressing twice will fully start the vehicle.
Insert the cigarette lighter plug of the provided 5-meter long 12V cigarette lighter power cord into the corresponding socket.
As shown in Figure B, pull the 12V power socket interface of the adapter to the CHAdeMO charging port outside the car window.
Note: If internal power instability is detected, ensure the entire charging process, from start to stop, is powered by the cigarette lighter power cord.
Charging Monitoring
During charging, some vehicle models will display charging information on the dashboard.
You can also monitor the charging status anytime, anywhere, through the mobile app by logging into the operator's application.
Additionally, by logging into the vehicle owner's account in the official app provided by the vehicle manufacturer, you can view detailed charging status information.
When the vehicle is fully charged or when the desired charging amount is reached, the charging process will automatically stop.
Alternatively, the charging process can be manually terminated through the vehicle's screen, related mechanisms, or remotely via the mobile application.
After charging stops, unlock the buttons, remove the CCS1 charging plug first, and then remove the adapter from the vehicle's charging port.
Connector Removal Technique
With your left hand, press the vertical plane at the end of the adapter handle towards the vehicle.
Using your right hand, grip the CCS1 connector firmly.
Press the CCS1 unlock button with your thumb and gently pull the connector out.
Check if the CCS1 connector is properly inserted into the socket. Ensure that the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
First, ensure that the vehicle's infotainment system and dashboard are turned off, then retry the activation process. Minimize the time taken to activate. If the connection is still unsuccessful, open the dashboard and check for any error icons. If errors are present, clear the error codes before attempting to charge again.
Verify that the CCS1 connector is correctly inserted into the socket. If it has been inserted for too long without starting the charging process, disconnect and reconnect the charger to initiate charging.
Check the state of charge (SOC%) of the vehicle. Some vehicle models cannot initiate charging when the SOC is at 0% or above 99%. In such cases, slow charging may be required. Fast DC charging typically requires the vehicle's SOC to be within the range of 2% to 80%.
Ensure that the 12V cigarette lighter power cord is connected to supply power to the adapter. Check the SOC% to see if it is close to full charge, which may cause the charging to stop prematurely.
This may occur due to the vehicle's thermal control protection or because some models do not support charging to 100% SOC in fast charging mode. According to the CHAdeMO standard, the upper limit for fast charging is 80%. It is recommended to switch to slow charging for SOC levels above 80%. Some operators also set a forced stop at 95% SOC.
First, try switching to a different charging station to see if the power increases. If the issue persists, check if the SOC% has exceeded 90%. If the problem remains unresolved, there may be a power restriction imposed by either the vehicle or the charging station.
This is usually due to software update failures or internal hardware issues. It is recommended to contact the dealership for after-sales service. If charging fails multiple times, the vehicle may enter protection mode, requiring the vehicle to be moved back and forth, then turned off and restarted before attempting to charge again. If the vehicle dashboard displays warning lights or fault icons, do not attempt to charge again.
Please contact our agents or dealers promptly if you encounter charging issues with specific vehicle models or charging stations. We are here to provide support and assistance with problem resolution.
First, try using the 12V cigarette lighter power cord to supply power. If the light still does not illuminate, there may be an internal hardware failure. Please contact the authorized dealer for after-sales service.
Connect a Power source with Type-C Cable and a USB drive in FAT32 format as shown below to the OTG wire. Connect the OTG wire to the adapter.
This feature enables the use of our adapter in conjunction with our company's dedicated V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging and discharging machine. It allows you to draw power from a CHAdeMO-equipped vehicle using our adapter. The stored power can then be transferred through the charging/discharging machine, which connects to an AC dual-head connector, enabling AC charging for another vehicle.
