Wire Fishing Tool ## Installation ### Step 1 - Run the ECU harness On the ECU, you will need to connect the power source, the ground and the CANBUS. For the power and ground, route the two wires to the frunk through the firewall. Connect the power to the 12v battery (For 2022+ car, connect the power to the jump post). Connect the ground to car chassis.

Firewall location, circled in Yellow. It should be on the right side of the MCU for LHD car

For the CANBUS connector, connect it on the right side of the car, behind the kick panel (Refer to Step 3 Front Door, but on the right side). There is an idle blue connector to plug the CANBUS connector.

### Step 2 - Disassemble the doors {% hint style="danger" %} Caution: Once you remove the door panel, DO NOT close the door without checking on the window level. The window might be raised and will hit on the window trim. {% endhint %} ### Front Door Disassemble Remove the door tweeter by simply pull up the tweeter. Disconnect the connection.

Remove the three T-30 screws on the door panels. The back screw is hidden behind the red reflector. Pry out the reflector to reveal the screw.

Pull out the door panel. Pull directly outward. Fully raise the window. Disconnect the connectors and take out the door panel.

Unhook the wires and disconnect the connections.

{% hint style="info" %} If you think it's too difficult to pull the door panel, sometimes fully lower the window can help you grab the door panel easier. {% endhint %} Remove the inner belt. Use a pry tool to release the clips.

Remove the plugs that cover the openings in door for access to the regulator guide blocks.

Remove the bolt that secures the rearmost regulator guide block.

Loosen (but not remove) the bolt that secures the foremost regulator guide block, and then remove the door glass from the door.

Now you can take out the window. If the window is stuck to the rearmost regulator and cannot be pulled out, take out the outer belt seal, and use a plastic wedge in between the glass and the regulator block to release the grip of the regulator block on the glass

Don't pull up the seal at a sharp angle or the belt will damage the paint in the front tip. Make sure the angle is small and jiggle it out.

After disconnect, push down the upper connector down to remove it from the panel

Unscrew all the 8mm screws from the panel

Remove the bolts that attach the closeout panel to the door (8mm socket)

Remove the plugs that cover the regulator rail fasteners and unscrew the 2 10mm screws revealed.

To take out the closeout panel, you need to push the black cover upward first before pulling it outward. ### Rear Door Disassemble To disassemble the rear door, remove the two T-30 screws and take out the door panel. (There is no screw in the back). Unplug the connections from the wire harness. Before you unplug the connections, raise the window fully up first.

Disconnect the connectors

Puddle light connect is not shown in this picture

Release the clips that attach the rear of the inner belt seal to the rear door, and then pull up to release the inner belt seal. {% hint style="warning" %} Use a pry tool to release the clips. Pulling the inner belt seal by hand might damage the clips. {% endhint %}

Now remove the plugs, unscrew the 2 10mm sockets (remove both) and then take the window out.

Remove everything from the closeout panel

Remove the 2 plugs indicated, and unscrew the 2 screws (10mm hex) revealed, then remove all the 8mm screws surrounding the closeout panel. To take out the panel, you need to push the panel up a bit to release the lock and then pull out.

### Step 3 - Run the wires into 4 doors There will be one wire going to each door. Run the wire through the door grommet into the door. ### Front Door For the front door, the wiring is pretty straight forward to run. Release the upper clip that attaches the middle A-Pillar trim to the vehicle, and then pull the trim upwards to remove it from the vehicle.

Release the topmost clip on the lower A-pillar trim.

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry on the channel on the clip to release.

Pull the rearmost part of the lower A-pillar trim upward to release the clips and tabs, and then pull the entire trim rearward to remove the trim from the vehicle.

Now you can fish the wire through the conduit to the front door. ### Rear Door For the rear door, we recommend removing B pillar trims for easier wiring. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. You can simply pull up the seat.

Release the portion of the rear door seal that overlaps the lower c-pillar trim.

Release the clips (x5) that attach the lower c-pillar trim to the vehicle, and then remove the trim from the vehicle. Tip: To later aid with installation, note how the lower c-pillar trim mates with the trunk side trim.

The rear clip might be difficult to release, sometimes jiggle the piece out can help. Don't pull too hard or it might break the tab.

Release the clips that attach the upper B-pillar trim to the B-pillar. {% hint style="info" %} Note Release the bottom clips first, and then release the clips at the top of the trim. When installing it back, insert the top of the upper B-pillar trim under the headliner to align the clips, and then press the bottom to fully seat the lower portion of the trim. Ensure the seal correctly overlaps the trim. {% endhint %}

Release the lower portion of the front door seal.

Release the tabs (x3) that attach the front door harness guide to the vehicle, and then release the harness guide datum from the lower B-Pillar trim (Simply raise it).

Simply use your finger to press on the release, it will release the tab.

Release the clips that attach the lower B-pillar trim to the body, and remove the trim from the vehicle. Some car might have an extra philip screws on the top of the trim, remove it if it's there.

For the rear clip, just use a flathead screwdriver to release it out from the channel

Release grommet connector. Pry at both the top and then the bottom of rear door harness grommet while pulling away from B-pillar to release door harness

You can disconnect the connector after releasing both tabs. If you find it difficult to disconnect, try to use your hand to press on the two tab while you disconnect.

Remove rubber grommet from rear door assembly

For the rear door, depending on the door handle version, you will find two ways to run the wire: * Use the provided conduit as an extension, run the wire and leave the OEM conduit inside the door panel. Zip tie the OEM connector with the connector facing down * Insert the terminals into both sides of the OEM connector. Make sure the color match each other.

On both side of the connector, pry this the long rectangular piece, and then you can insert the terminals. Use the 4 idle small holes. Relock after inserting. Make sure you match the color on both sides. On the door side, it's easier if you fish the wire to the connector through the short grommet before inserting pins.

### Step 4 - Handle Disassemble Disconnect the hall sensor connector from the handle

Remove the plugs on the doors so you can access the screw nuts on the handle.

There are 3 10mm nuts holding the handle. Remove them then you can take out the handle

* Remove the hall sensor from the OEM door handle, and transfer it to the new handle.

Unscrew using T-20 screws, this is a CN sensor (China made) and no spacer is needed to be added behind.

* Take a look on the hall sensor, if it has a printed mark "CN" (see the above picture), then you don't need to place the washer behind the sensor. If it doesn't have a mark "CN" on it, it is a Mexico hall sensor. Place the spacer behind the sensor. Retighten the screw. * Install the handle back to the door. ### Step 5 - Test the handle Reconnect the OEM connector to the handle, and also connect the connector that run into the door. Test the handle by pressing the tip of the handle, make sure the opening and closing is smooth.
