## Precaution <a href="#precaution" id="precaution"></a>

Please turn off the power before installation started

1. Navigate the on-screen menu to the settings -> safety section
2. Power off the car. Make sure the screen goes black

## Step 1 - Remove Steering Wheel and Airbag&#x20;

Move the steering wheel to the outmost & downmost position.

Use a T-30 wrench/socket to loosen the bolt securing the airbag and remove it from steering wheel.

Use a small flat-head screwdriver or similar tool to release the two connectors from the steering wheel hub.

Remove the H-10 screw to release the steering wheel. Mark the position of the steering wheel if needed.

## Step 2 - Install the Decoder

Remove the plastic covers around the steering column.

Disconnect the yellow connector from the clock spring.

Remove the 3 T-10 bolts securing the clock spring assembly to the column. Take out the clock spring assembly from the steering column.

Locate and connect the small white connector on the original clock spring housing that corresponds to the smaller plug on the new accessory harness.&#x20;

Plug the 4-pin connector (white/multi-colored wires) from the new accessory harness into the location on the clock spring housing where you just removed the original connector.&#x20;

Connect the ribbon cable side of the decoder to the corresponding large white connector on the clock spring assembly.&#x20;

Secure the decoder to a flat surface on the clock spring using the double-sided tape on the back of the board.&#x20;

Tidy up the wires and connect the yellow wire from the new harness into the existing wiring on the steering column.

## Step 3 - Reassemble Steering Wheel and Airbag

Reinstall the clock spring assembly and secure it with the 3 T-10 bolts.

Connect the yellow connector from the car to our adapter wire and reinstall the steering column covers.

Install the new Yoke steering wheel.

Secure the steering wheel with the the H-10 screw.

Connect the yellow airbag wire to the 4-th pin on the yellow plug.

Connect the white airbag connector.

Reconnect the 2 connectors.

Align and firmly press the airbag module back into the center of the yoke steering wheel until it clicks into place.

## **Finishing Up**

Press the brake to turn on the car.&#x20;

Check if all the features and buttons on the steering wheel are working properly.
