Lighted Applique (v1)

This is the installation guide for Tesla Model S Lighted Applique‌

Installation

Step 1

‌

Remove the applique from the car. We recommend to use pry tool to start from the end. A Dental Floss can be useful.‌‌

Step 2

‌

Remove the Letter Board from the Applique. Be extra careful not to damage the original applique. The letter board is held by double sided tape. We recommend to start from the two ends and then work toward the middle. Be extra caution when detaching the "S" letter.‌‌

Step 3

‌

Attach our Lighted Board into the applique, and run the light wire into the trunk area through the hole. Apply 3M double sided tape into the hole to prevent water from leaking into the car.‌‌

Step 4

‌

Attached the light board to the connection wire, on the other end of the wire, connect the wire to the light controller box. Place the box somewhere inside the trunk.‌‌

Step 5

‌

Run the remaining portion to the wire to the front of the car, under the touchscreen.‌‌

Step 6

‌‌

Remove the cubby drawer under the touchscreen. you can remove it by push the cubby drawer down, it is held by metal clips.‌‌

Step 7

‌

Inside the space, on the right side, locate the blue connector as shown in the picture. If your car is 2014 or before, the connector might be white in color. In that case, you need to contact us for a wire adapter. Connect the decoder wire to the blue connector. On the same wire, connect the connection wire (6m) to the decoder wire by the 3-pin connector.‌‌

Step 8

Plug in the CAN decoder now. The red light should light up. The system is ready to be tested.
