Installation

Step 1 - Run the ECU Harness

The ECU harness includes a CAN connector, a ground wire, and a power wire. Depending on the model year of your car, you'll connect the power, ground, and CANbus in different locations:

For Variant A

Refer to "Method 1 - Power & CAN Connection on Intel MCU" from the following guide.

For Variant B

Refer to "Method 3 - Power & CAN Connection below Right A-Pillar" for CAN Connection and "Method 4 - Power Connection at Low Voltage Battery" for power connection from the following guide.

Note for Variant B The ground wire is embedded into the CAN connector for MARK 2.0 system. You don't need to connect it separately.

Step 2 - Run the Signal Wires into each Door

The markings on the four wires are based on the assumption that the ECU is mounted on the right side of the car. If you place your ECU on the left side (as in models from 2020 or earlier), then swap the left and right harnesses. Run the harnesses into each door.

Step 3 - Remove the Door Panel and Window

Follow the guide below to remove door panel and window.

Step 4 - Remove the OEM Door Handle

Front Door

Remove the plugs that cover access to the door handle nuts.

Disconnect the hall sensor connector

Remove the nuts that attach the door handle to the door, and then remove the handle from the door. (10mm socket)

Now you can remove the door handle assembly

Rear Door

Disconnect the hall sensor connector.

Remove the plugs that cover access to the door handle nuts.

Another plug is not shown in the picture. It's the circular plug above the one in the picture

Remove the nuts that attach the door handle to the door, and then remove the handle from the door. (10mm socket)

Step 5 - Replace the Handle

Remove the 2 screws holding the hall sensor. It should be either T-15 or T-20 depending on different model years.

Transfer the hall sensor to the replacement handle and reassemble it onto the door. Inspect the hall sensor; if it has a "CN" mark printed on it, there's no need to place a washer behind the sensor. If it doesn't have a "CN" mark, it's a Mexico hall sensor, and you should place a spacer behind it. Afterward, retighten the screw.

Step 6 - Test the handle

Reconnect the OEM connector to the handle and connect the wire that runs into the door panel. On the ECU side, ensure the connector for the corresponding door is plugged in.

Test the handle for the following functions:

1. Press on the tip of the handle; the handle should pop out.

2. Pull on the handle; it should unlatch the lock, and then the handle should retract.

Ensure the handle moves smoothly when it pops out and retracts. If it doesn't, try adjusting the handle's position.

Before you close the door, if the window is installed back, make sure you connect the puddle light before testing, otherwise the windows trim can be damaged as the window will not go gown upon closing.

Step 7 - Reassemble the Door

Reassemble everything back.
